Bridges to Prosperity (B2P) is an international non-governmental organization that specializes in the design and construction of rural trailbridges. The East Africa Corporate Experience Manager, together with their team, lead all in-country Corporate travel team activities. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the Corporate travel experience, including reporting, accounting, staff management, team travel, technical oversight, and training.
Responsibilities
Program Leadership
- Work with the VP of Business Development to set annual Corporate travel targets and the Operations team to set annual travel schedule.
- Achieve annual team hosting targets for the Corporate travel program.
- Create and drive new strategic objectives for the Corporate travel program.
- Produce the annual expense budget for the Corporate Experience team and reforecast as requested.
- Partner with Marketing to ensure all Corporate Experience collateral is current and representative of Corporate Partnership offerings.
- Partner closely with the Corporate Sales Manager to align corporate travel opportunities with bridge builds in each country.
- Coordinate with Development Operations to ensure accurate and timely management of partner-related information.
Corporate Experience
- Work closely with the Corporate Sales Manager to ensure a timely and smooth introduction to the Corporate travel team point of contact.
- Design and manage the Corporate travel team experience, from team selection to return to home country.
- Assess potential risks for each Corporate travel team and propose and institute appropriate mitigations.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of B2P’s designs and safety protocols, including deep familiarity with the B2P Bridge Builder Manual.
- Ensure that all construction and safety documents related to travel team builds, including plans submitted by Corporate travel teams, comply with existing construction techniques and safety policies.
- Assure compliance with all local and international regulations in regard to Corporate team travel including, but not limited to, visa requirements and local travel policies.
- Assist Corporate partners with the team selection process.
- Work with the Corporate partner and Corporate Experience team to schedule, execute, and track all team calls and required documentation.
- Fulfill financial and inventory reporting requirements and protocols related to the Corporate Program.
- Oversee the preparation for the Corporate team including but not limited to coordinating accommodation, meals, vehicle hire, tool inventories and site preparation.
- Meet travel teams upon arrival in country and accompany them to site and at significant events such as bridge inaugurations.
- Work with the Operations team to ensure that field operations are supported before and when Corporate travel teams are visiting.
- Ensure that media is captured to facilitate Corporate travel team and sponsor follow-up and recognition.
- Manage and address all Corporate travel team issues promptly and appropriately.
- Gather and analyze post-travel feedback to inform program improvements.
- Assess potential risks for each Corporate travel team and propose and institute appropriate mitigations.
- Lead Corporate Program Alumni engagement.
Team Management
- Lead, manage, and hold accountable to a high standard of excellence a high performing, collaborative Corporate Experience team.
- Ensure team members are informed of, and compliant with, all B2P policies and procedures.
- Support the engagement of team members by ensuring their connection to other staff members in-country and globally through all-hands and social meetings / events, pursuit of professional development opportunities, and by supporting their health and well-being.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management preferred
- 3 – 5 years of professional experience in construction management and/or program management (strong preference for international experience)
- Strong project management skills and experience
- Demonstrated excellence in organization and management
- Ability to work across cultures and languages
- Track record of successfully managing a high-performing team
- Clear, concise and efficient communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to represent the organization in a professional manner to external partners
- Self-driven, with the ability to work autonomously

- Language requirements: English required; Kinyarwanda preferred
Location
The position is based in Kigali, Rwanda. This role requires periodic work on evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
The position requires the ability to traverse moderate slopes and walk on uneven, muddy, slick, and/or wet ground, sometimes for an extended time, in all weather conditions. Additionally, participation in physically-demanding construction-related tasks and full-day driving is required.
