Development Operations Manager

Bridges to Prosperity (B2P) is an international non-governmental organization that specializes in the design and construction of pedestrian footbridges. The Development Operations Manager lays the foundation for the Development team to successfully resource the organization’s programs. They are our lead prospect researcher, systems manager, and reporting guru. They understand how outstanding logistic, operational, and data support can drive revenue and program development and have a record of top-tier administrative skills, database management, and organization.

 

Responsibilities

Prospecting and Research

  • Conduct prospective and current funder and partner research, complete profiles
  • Manage donor research tools
  • Create processes and templates for improved prospect research programs

Development Operations

  • Liaise closely with the Systems Team to ensure that Development Team advances and improvements align with Systems Team plans and goals
  • Input and track all pledges, donations, and agreements in Salesforce database
  • In partnership with the VP of Business Development and Director of Marketing, operationalize and implement a vision for individual giving network stewardship (Safe Access Network, Bridge Builder Circle) to determine when members should receive outreach, gratitude, and renewal opt-ins
  • Create and maintain Corporate Program travel team pass-through fundraisers and manage reimbursements
  • Create and manage year-end campaign fundraising pages
  • Develop and execute processes for tracking revenue pipeline information
  • Improve and execute on B2P’s donor acknowledgement strategies, including personalized gratitude and tax receipts issued for all gifts in a timely manner
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of databases by ensuring that all information is kept current and up-to-date
  • Work with the finance team to ensure Salesforce consistency with Financial Edge at all time, including monthly reconciliations
  • Manage tracking of all donor relationship activities in Salesforce, including data entry of engagements, Corporate team campaign members, and/or event attendees
  • Pull annual financial information and donor lists for annual report
  • Develop, manage, and continuously update reports and dashboards for development team, Board and Trustee members, and partners (includes pipeline, lead, revenue, LYBUNT, marketing reports)
  • Champion improvements to development operations, system adoption, and the way we use Salesforce
  • Update and maintain the Development Operations Manual with linked tutorials for all departmental processes and procedures

Reporting and Compliance

  • Guarantee that B2P is fulfilling all requirements presented in grant, donation, and sponsorship agreements by tracking conditions, milestones, and deadlines and supporting team members responsible for delivery of requirements
  • Manage a system for tracking the requirements of sub-grantees and sub-contractors and support team members responsible for ensuring compliance with conditions and submission of reports by sub-grantees and sub-contractors
  • Work closely with the Director of Business Operations to renew all B2P memberships and profiles (SAM.gov, charity commission, BBB, Charity Navigator, 501(c)3, payroll campaigns, etc.)

Office Operations

  • Manage the general organizational email account

 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Two years in nonprofit development operations, or four years in systems administration
  • Expertise in Salesforce or similar CRM platforms
  • Expertise in Classy or other online fundraising platform
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with an understanding of how to build trust with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Outstanding planning skills – capacity to see how the pieces fit together, and to plan and implement appropriately across diverse work streams with competing deadlines
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Devout love of organization, detail, and process
  • Ability to work within a high-energy and team-oriented culture
  • Personal initiative that allows you to excel in an unstructured workplace
  • Strong desire to self-educate and use new and emerging technologies and software

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with revenue recognition principles and/or bookkeeping experience
  • Familiarity with prospect research tools
  • Experience with MailChimp or other e-newsletter platforms

Location

This is a remote position.

 

Salary range

$50,000 – $70,000 (dependent on experience)

For all US-based positions:
Compensation and benefits: $50,000 – $70,000 annual salary based on experience. Full-time benefits include 20 days PTO, 6 days sick time, 6 paid holidays, 10 business days office closure in December/January, paid parental leave, professional development and tuition reimbursement, 403b with employer contribution, health/vision/dental insurance benefits, flexible hybrid work model and more.
