Bridge story: The Msanzala river bridge will connect the villages of Mphampha and Luchacha during high water flows of Zambia’s rain season. During high water students from Mphampha who attend the school in Luchacha must travel an additional 10 km in each direction, which effectively stops the children from going to class. At the same time the distance individuals must travel from Luchacha to reach the district capital is also effectively increased. This bridge will allow both communities to have more productive days throughout the year.
