Bridge Story: The Jernbatan Gantung bridge would shorten the walk from the village of Haufu to town from 8 km to just over 1 km. A secondary school and clinic, as well as market are located in the larger town, and although a second road is accessible during the rainy season, the extra distance is considered locally to be prohibitive.
