Tutuluru Suspension Footbridge Project Slide Show Community Name: Roi, Dalum Bridge Sponsors: The Aall Foundation Partners: Timor-Leste Ministry of Infrastructure, Parsons-Brinkerhoff Volunteers: Morgan Cardiff (PB) Dedication: Memorial: River Name: Bridge Name: Tutuluru Suspension Bridge Bridge Span: 79 meters Pedestrian Footbridge Type: Suspension Population Served by Bridge: Approximately 800 people Expected Traffic: Approximately 100 people per day Bridge Story: The large river that separates the villages of Dalum and Roi from the large regional center of Same is substantial. To cross the river to meet our survey group, the men and curious children walked upstream to a jump-off point, where they entered the current and were swept across the better part of the river. A hundred meters downstream, they emerged without incident, but the opportunity to carry anything with them, be it a notebook, lunch, or even an injured or ill person is nonexistent.
