Bridge Story: The previous bridge was so fragile that people had to crawl across and no animals could use the crossing. In high water conditions which occur nearly 4 month per year, the people of Cuatro Esquinas were isloated from the surrounding communities including access to the school. In 2008, December a 32 meter suspended bridge was completed by the villagers of Cuatro Esquinas, located in the Chichimpamayo region, southwest of Cusco. The 120 cm wide bridge is now suitable for loaded pack animals to cross.
