Bridge Story: Puente Gomez is an old crossing across the Rio Motagua that the Mayans have used for centuries. During Hurricane Agatha, the structure that had been in place for 50 years washed out along with three water lines that served seven communities. The new bridge carries pedestrians to schools, clinics and markets along with three new water lines that provide potable water to over 3000 people.
