Bridge Story: The successful completion of the Corinto bridge project brought additional benefit to the community. A diversion drain excavated during construction funneled the seepage water away from the bridge foundation and in the process created a continual water source of water for the community. The municipality has had this water tested and the stream was cleaner than the water source the community has been using before! The municipality has ordered the bridge mason and the other community workers to continue working for three weeks to create a basin to collect this water, in addition to an elaborate system of staircases to give the community access to it. The old spring, where the community used to go to get water, was slippery and downright dangerous to get to. Now, they just have to cross the bridge! The communities on both sides of the river come to collect this water, and the municipality's civil engineer now considers it two projects.

Antes del Mitch estaba un puente peatonal que servía varias comunidades pero el mismo Huracán lo he destruido y ahora, mas de 10 anos después, la comunidad aun cruza el rio para llegar a sus cosechas o sus casas.
