Bridge Story: The school, health center, and market are on the left side of the river in Rumi Rumi. All 600 families from Jardin Rancho need to cross here for the market and health center, as well as 80 kids. During the rainy season from November/December till March, the water arrives suddenly and with force, so the people can’t cross. On market day in Punata all the communities from the mountain range come down with their products and Animals, thousands of people. For a lot of them this is the main crossing and when the river is high they need to go 5 KM farther to cross on the main road and then 5KM back.
