Scott is on the right, shown with fellow B2P colleague Jeremy Johannesen, at the opening of the Colorado River Bridge at the Hoover Dam. Scott was born in New Jersey in 1959 and moved to Littleton Colorado in 1961 where he grew up. He started taking things apart when he got his first screwdriver at age two and only recently started putting things back together.

He graduated from the University of Colorado (Boulder) CU for the second time (first was Bachelors degree and second was a Masters) in 1984 and took a position with Figg and Muller Engineers. While there, he worked with some of the great complex bridge construction engineers in the world including Jean Muller (during a 4 month stint in Paris) and Gerard Sauvegeot. In 1989 he founded Finley McNary Engineers with Craig Finley and went on to provide construction engineering for some of the most significant concrete segmental bridges in the United States and abroad. After a couple years of transition after selling Finley McNary to Parsons Transportation Group, Scott founded McNary Bergeron & Associates with Jim Bergeron and Jeremy Johannesen to again help build arch, cable stayed and segmental bridges.

5 years ago Jeremy Johannesen started working with Ken and Avery at B2P on the design of tower suspension bridges. Since that time, Jeremy, with the support of McNary and Bergeron have built three bridges in Honduras and Guatemala. Scott as lucky enough to help Flatiron and B2P near Copan in the spring of 2010. Scott also serves on the Executive Board for the American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI).

Scott is happily married to Judy (for 28 years) and has three children Erin (21), Jack (19) and Tom (19) all at the University of Colorado. He enjoys Skiing, golf, tennis, scuba diving and woodworking in his spare time.
