Rob Richardson, PE
Technical Advisory Board Member

Rob is a Project Manager for Flatiron Construction, Inc. He manages heavy civil construction projects in the Southern California area.

He grew up in Tacoma, Washington and after earning a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Washington, has worked in the heavy civil construction industry for 20 years. He has worked on projects in Egypt, the Philippines, and Indonesia where he prides himself on developing local engineers to design and construct projects rather than over-reliance on the expat expertise.

His project experience ranges from major freeway interchanges to earth fill dams to tsunami reconstruction. It has also been important for his family to share in his experiences and they have lived and attended school as a family during each of his assignments. In 2010 he participated in the Bridges to Prosperity footbridge in La Tana, Guatemala.
