Pax Goodson

Born and raised in Newport News, VA. Graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with BS in Economics, and Dartmouth College with Master in Business Administration. Worked in the Boston area before returning to Newport News to work in the family construction business. After seventeen years there, retired in 2006 to pursue other interests and civic work. Married for 23 years and counting to Melissa, with three daughters. Served on the board of Hampton Roads Academy, American Red Cross chapter, Rotary Club, Newport News Educational Foundation, James River Country Club, and Huntington Park Playground Association.

Mission Statement. Bridges To Prosperity is a volunteer based charity that seeks to empower poor African, Asian and South American rural communities through footbridge building, thereby advancing personal responsibility, community public works, economic prosperity, and access to schools, clinics, jobs, and markets.
