He graduated from the University of Texas with a civil engineering degree and has more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry. Frequently looked to as a leader in the industry, Elie has developed new and innovative construction solutions that have garnered numerous awards.

Elie’s passion for engineering, teaching and traveling is a key component to the success of Flatiron’s partnership with Bridges to Prosperity. He was instrumental in bringing Flatiron and B2P together, and continues to be a leading contributor to the advancement of both organizations’ missions to share knowledge and expertise to help isolated communities progress.

Born in Lebanon, Elie has traveled the world for school, work and pleasure – once taking his family on a surprise trip through the Sahara desert. He and wife, Claudia, have two teenage daughters Debani Aimee and Natalie Yara. When they aren’t traveling around the world, they call Broomfield, Colo., their home.

Bridges To Prosperity is a volunteer based charity that seeks to empower poor African, Asian and South American rural communities through footbridge building, thereby advancing personal responsibility, community public works, economic prosperity, and access to schools, clinics, jobs, and markets.
