David Kelvin grew up in Zionsville, Indiana and attended Rice University in Houston, Texas. In August, 2006, he started work as an engineer for BP in Durango, Colorado. Between graduation and the start of his first "real" job, he volunteered for Bridges to Prosperity in Peru for 2 months. Shortly after, he became the B2P volunteer coordinator.
He is currently looking forward to helping volunteers and ensuring that their experience is as fulfilling as possible. David's first involvement with volunteering began at Rice University. After retiring from the varsity golf team his junior year, he began working with an Engineers Without Borders group on a project in El Salvador. Although a chemical engineer by training, he enjoys creating useful bits of infrastructure that make peoples' lives easier.
Currently, David is enjoying his new home in Durango, next to the most fortuitously located natural gas field in the U.S. In his spare time, he plans on taking up road biking, hockey, improving his skiing abilities, and playing plenty of golf and tennis.
