Christina is from beautiful Colorado where she earned both her BS and MS in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Her Masters’ thesis included the development of a point of use water treatment system specifically for use in the developing world. Christina is continuing her studies at CU Boulder, working toward her PhD in the Mortenson Center in Engineering for Developing Communities program. Christina’s involvement in Rwanda began several years ago with Engineers Without Borders and Manna Energy Limited and since then she has researched and implemented several projects including rainwater harvesting, water treatment systems, solar lighting and high efficiency cooking stoves. In her free time, Christina enjoys hiking, practicing yoga, and enjoying a beer on her balcony with a beautiful view of Kigali.
