Chris Rollins and friend

Chris Rollins is a structural engineer practicing in Denver, Colorado. His specialty is vertical inspection using rappelling and rock climbing techniques to access structures, such as the Hilton in downtown Chicago. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2000 with a degree in Architectural Engineering after several years of construction in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, as well as a house in Toyohashi, Japan. After graduation, he worked throughout the US, Canada, and Alaska as a bridge inspector before helping to launch Bridges To Prosperity's bridge building program in Ethiopia. He is currently active with Bridges To Prosperity developing a new suspension bridge standard and consulting on current projects in South America, as well as numerous endeavors with Engineers Without Borders in Africa and Asia.

Chris enjoys good beer, food, and media when it is available, as well as furry creatures great and small. He is also an advocate of bicycle-based, regional economics, which he plans to catalyze through his current studies in Geographical Information Systems and Regional Planning at CU Denver. He eagerly awaits the day that oil costs $200 a barrel and the world will be normal and pleasant again.
