Cheri Nice

Cheri was raised in the Mennonite community of Newport News Virginia with her 5 siblings and zillion cousins. After graduating from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) in economics, Cheri worked for Ross Perot, GATX, HP, and Information Resources. Her various jobs led her eventually to San Francisco, where she met her husband and started a family. Cheri also received a Masters in Business from Golden Gate University. She currently resides in Gloucester, Virginia with her two boys, Preston and Brendan, and her daughter, Sarah. Cheri has been involved in more charities than one can count. Most recently her efforts have been centered on her Board position with a Mennonite assisted care facility, Hampton Roads Academy, and handling the accounting for Bridges to Prosperity.

Mission Statement. Bridges To Prosperity is a volunteer based charity that seeks to empower poor African, Asian and South American rural communities through footbridge building, thereby advancing personal responsibility, community public works, economic prosperity, and access to schools, clinics, jobs, and markets.
