Caroline Considine

Carol Considine is an Associate Professor in the Engineering Technology Department at Old Dominion University. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and from the University of California, Berkeley with a Master of Science in Engineering, specializing in Construction Engineering and Management. Carol worked in the construction industry for fifteen years as a project manager and estimator prior to her teaching career and relies heavily upon her industrial experience in the classroom.

Carol grew up in Murrysville, Pennsylvania on the outskirts of Pittsburgh. Her education and career have taken her to Virginia, Maryland, and California. She returned to Virginia in 1998. Carol is married to Ray Considine. They have two children and reside in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Bridges To Prosperity is a volunteer based charity that seeks to empower poor African, Asian and South American rural communities through footbridge building, thereby advancing personal responsibility, community public works, economic prosperity, and access to schools, clinics, jobs, and markets.
