Bob Sowell Family

Bob Sowell - Bob grew up in Savannah, Georgia. Received his BBA from the University of Georgia in 1961 with a major in finance. A short stop in banking, led to a thirty-six year career in document management sales. Numerous transfers around the southern US brought him to Virginia in 1970. Bob retired in 2000 and enjoys sailing, water skiing, scuba diving and whatever is on is wife’s honey do list. He has served in various volunteer capacities over the years with the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Exchange Club, Boy Scouts of America, Kingsmill Yacht Club, York River Yacht Club, Hampton Roads Academy, Watermen’s Museum, National Park Service at Jamestown Island and Williamsburg Community Chapel. He lives with is wife, Patti, in Williamsburg and has four children, Charlie, Steve, Krissy and Robbie.

Mission Statement. Bridges To Prosperity is a volunteer based charity that seeks to empower poor African, Asian and South American rural communities through footbridge building, thereby advancing personal responsibility, community public works, economic prosperity, and access to schools, clinics, jobs, and markets.
