Andrew grew up in Clarksville, Maryland running and playing lacrosse. After completing his freshmen year at the U.S. Military Academy, Andrew took a year to do service with Maryknoll Missionaries and lived on the shores of Lake Titicaca in the altiplano of Peru. There, he worked with university students and co-founded a summer school. Upon his return to the U.S., he transferred to the University of Notre Dame where he studied Civil Engineering.
As a student, Andrew rowed on the men’s club crew team and later co-chaired The Human Development Conference at Notre Dame. He also spent a summer working with education committees in a small village in rural Ghana through ND’s Center for Social Concerns. He was a member of the College of Engineering’s second ND SEED team, which has developed a partnership with Bridges to Prosperity over the past four years. Following graduation, the team traveled to Guatemala to finish the construction of a suspended bridge with the community of Palquí in June, 2010. Outside the university, Andrew has interned and worked as a Project Engineer for Skanska USA Building.
Andrew is thrilled to be on staff with Bridges to Prosperity and is excited to work with the people of Timor-Leste.
