"If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito in the room." - The Dalai Lama
Volunteer opportunities are available to the right candidates in our primary country programs. Most opportunities involve camping at remote rural bridge construction sites and involve working with the villagers performing manual and skilled labor. A typical trip cost runs $25-35 USD per day plus international airfare and the cost of camping gear and shots.

Professionals can get help with travel costs through a partnership between
Volunteers For Prosperity (through USAID office) and
GlobalGiving. VFP provides grants to partner organizations to assist skilled Americans who wish to volunteer abroad. VFP Service grants (ranging from $500 to $1000) are individual, non-renewable and are designated to offset travel, insurance and local living costs of short-term international volunteer assignments. Grants match at least an equal amount of funds raised by volunteers locally. B2P has joined as a Volunteer Partner Organization (VPO) so that we can sponsor our members in volunteer opportunities and disburse the funds they raise.

To Our Volunteers:
"There is no such thing as a simple act of compassion or an inconsequential act of service. Everything we do for another person has infinite consequences. Every action gives rise to a ripple effect, just as a pebble that is tossed into a pond sends out wave after wave, widening and covering more and more space."
